This product review used a $6, 8 watt USB soldering iron to mate a switchable 9V battery case with a 2.1mm plug on the end of it. This power source is then used to verify that a NodeMCU development board is working. It’s just plain simple soldering but using a Phone Backup battery charger to power the soldering part.
